FAQ
-
Can I compare prices between UPS, FedEx, and USPS?
Yes! Postal Pros AZ is the only local store where you can compare all three carriers side-by-side and choose the best rate.
-
How should I ship my package? UPS, FedEx, or USPS?
It depends on your priorities. If you need a guaranteed delivery date, choose FedEx or UPS. If you want guaranteed insurance up to $100 included, go with FedEx or UPS. If cost is your only concern and you're not worried about when—or even if—it arrives, USPS is usually the cheapest option. There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, but we’ll help you pick the best carrier for your needs.
-
Are you a full-service Post Office?
We are not a full-service Post Office. We do not offer all of the administrative services the Post Office does. But we can perform USPS shipping for you. And if you’re looking for a PO Box, come get a Private Mailbox with us instead. You can receive more types of mail with a private mailbox—and it’s cheaper.
-
Can I drop off a prepaid package or Amazon Return?
Absolutely! We accept prepaid drop-offs for UPS, FedEx, and USPS—including Amazon and Chewy returns. For Amazon returns, be sure to select “UPS Dropoff” (not “UPS Store”) during the return process to ensure we can accept it.
-
What if my Package is lost or damaged?
We’ll help you file a claim with the carrier. Proper packing is key to claim approval, so let us do it right the first time.
-
What’s the difference between a P.O. Box and a private mailbox?
Private mailboxes offer a real street address, package receiving from all carriers, and better privacy and flexibility.
-
What ID is required to rent a mailbox?
USPS regulations require two forms of valid ID: one photo ID and one address ID.
Common combinations include:
Driver’s License (Photo ID) + Vehicle Registration or Insurance (Address ID)
Passport (Photo ID) + Driver’s License (Address ID)
Important: You cannot use the same driver’s license for both photo and address ID. Each person on the mailbox must provide separate qualifying documents.
-
Can more than one person receive mail at my box?
Yes, just let us know who you’d like to add to your box rental. Each person must fill out their own 1583 form for the Post Office. We will help with that too.
-
Will I be notified when I receive mail or packages?
Yes. We offer email and text notifications for incoming packages.
-
Can I set up my LLC with a private mailbox address at your location?
You can indeed use a private mailbox address at our location for your LLC’s principal or mailing address in Arizona. State law allows LLCs to list a private mailbox (a CMRA address) as their business or principal address.
But here's the catch: your LLC must also designate a Registered Agent with a physical street address in Arizona—a private mailbox will not work for this purpose . This Registered Agent is legally required to receive official notices and must have a real street address where they can be reached during business hours.
-
What happens if I forget to renew my mailbox?
We’ll hold your mail temporarily, but late fees may apply. Always renew on time to avoid interruptions.
-
How long do you hold packages?
We hold packages for up to 7 days. Storage fees may apply after that.
