What to Bring for Notary Services
Your document
Bring the complete document that needs to be notarized.
Valid photo identification
Bring a current government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, state-issued ID, or passport.
Everyone who needs to sign
Anyone whose signature needs to be notarized must appear in person.
Wait to sign if required
Some documents must be signed in front of the notary. If you're unsure, wait until you arrive before signing.
Need a Witness?
Some documents require one or more witnesses in addition to the notary.
A witness may be available for $10.
If your document requires a witness, we recommend calling ahead to confirm availability.
Before You Visit
Know what type of notarization you need.
If your document doesn't specify whether you need an acknowledgment, jurat, or another notarial act, the notary cannot choose one for you.
Make sure your document is complete.
Don't bring documents with important blank spaces that still need to be filled in.
The signer must be present.
We can't notarize someone's signature if the required signer isn't there.
Have your identification ready.
The notary must be able to properly identify the signer.
